Gadgets That Help You Do Better In School
08.07.08 (9:20 am)   [edit]

Technology has been used since the beginning of time to help educate our children and ourselves. Technology is all around us, it's even the chairs we sit on. Now-a-days there's so much technology we take it for granted. There's rulers, paper, pencils, binders, backpacks, light bulbs, projectors, computers, and much more technology that we never think twice about.

So what's going to be the next gadget to be unveiled for students? Perhaps a electronic cheat sheet?

The newest gadget for student that seems to be making it's way into the class room for good is the pocket labeler. Organization is the key to being prepared while in class. When your organized things go a lot faster, and much smoother. That's why the pocket labeler is becoming such a key utility.

One thing we had a problem with in school was with people stealing books. It was a problem because If you lost your book you had to pay around a hundred bucks for it. That's why the kids would steal each others books. With a pocket labeler my school could of had a much easier time keeping track of the books If everyone labeled their book. Another place where it could come in handy is in your binder. Color labels are a good way to organize papers even further into categories. You could use the different colors to represent the class, then you could write on the label to make sub-categories.

08.07.08 (9:06 am)   [edit]

BetaGoogle has just released a new tool for webmaster's, specifically business owners. Their tool can track the trends of different keywords. Like if you were selling Halloween costumes, you could search that in Google Insight to determine when people begin to shop for them.

Check it out, its pretty cool, I been playing around with it all morning.

Keyword Rich Domain Names
08.04.08 (10:31 am)   [edit]

domain namesA keyword rich domain name is a website address that includes keywords that you want people to find you in the search engines for. For example if you were selling puppy collars, then you'd want the domain name puppycollars.com.

When the internet first came out, there were no search engines. To find website's you would first need to know the URL, or find a link from another website. So businesses relied on using their business name for people to find them. For example Nissan immediately bought the domain nissan.com. Their called keyword domains. Ironically, a lot of people still rely on this method for finding websites, but thats not the only reason it's important to have a good domain name.

If your a local business then it's good to use geographic domains, like PhoenixLawyer.com or TexasRanch.com. The search engines can tell where people are searching from, if you use a geographic domain like the ones above then your website will be found easier by local internet users.

Domain investing is important if you want to get your business out on the net. Most of the good domains have been bought up, like real estate, to be resold. Investing in a good domain name is important to being successful online. Buying, making, and selling domains is also domain investing; which some people find is a good business. If you want to get into that kind of business then you need to learn about domain developement.

IT Professionals More Likely To Need Glasses
08.03.08 (8:39 am)   [edit]

stylish eyeglassesDid you know that research has revealed that 72% of IT workers need glasses? A website called theitjob.com ran the study. They tested their IT staff and found that about three quarters are blind as bats. They say the main reason for this is that IT workers are more likely to strain their eyes by spending too much time on the computer. Not only do they use the computer all day at work, they come home and hop on their personal PC too.

Famous geeks like Bill Gates all wear glasses, and now we know why. The rumor that people who wear glasses are geeks is busted. Don't suffer with bad eyesight just because you don't want to look like a geek, get a pair of glasses!

A good place to pick up a pair of inexpensive glasses is ZenniOptical.com; I've seen these guys on Fox News their legit. They sell eyeglasses starting as low as eight dollars. They have a huge selection of glasses that I think are quite stylish. Don't waste your money are so called name brand glasses that cost hundreds of dollars. Pick up a pair of affordable, durable, eyeglasses and finally stop squinting like a fool. To learn more about Zenni visit this blog post.
