Why You Need to Scan Weblinks Sent to you for Exploits - Global Threat
11.09.06 (2:26 pm)   [edit]
Many spammers are actually botnet owners too, they are using another person's computer without that persons knowledge to send you their message.

If you receive a message containing a link whether it is through e-mail, aol instant messenger, msn messenger, etc. etc. Don't open another link until you`ve read this.

The fact is spammers get their hands on old hacking tools, that are no longer effective at infecting new computers with their files and backdoor virus. So they are forced to find other methods.

Spammers infect new computers the way their best athey can think of, sending even more messages to unknowning victims that click their link and the victims computer (yours) gets force fed the backdoor virus through exploit code in the website. Or newbie spammers simply rename their backdoor file to a .pif extension instead of a .exe. What most people don't know is both extensions are executable! and the virus will still run as if It had a .exe extension. Then they`ll start spamming out the link to their backdoor-virus using a message that will entice you to click the link.

A common message a spammer will send will look something like this,
Hi Im 18/f from California, Im just on the internet bored If you want to talk message me back, heres my picture spamerswebsite.com/virus-picture.pif
If you see a message like this don't open it!! Ignore that person block them, but If its from someone you trust and you trust this person enough to open the website, I urge you to scan the website for exploits for free using the tool on this website click here.
