The very first laptop ever made was the UMPC: Epson's HX-20. The picture to the right is a Epson HX-20 considered a PDA just a few years ago it was announced in 1981. The HX-20 came out 25 years before Intel and Microsoft formally launched the ultra-mobile PC category, in April 2006.

LOL. I looked for "first laptop" on google. Guess what I found. "1984 first laptop in the world was an apple computer." What fucking bs. The first EVER laptop is yet to be ever known. But the first laptop with a COMPANY that made 10,000 of them per month in the first year at $1,760 a pop went bankrupt (1981)
