How Gmail Blocks Spam
11.07.07 (3:31 am)   [edit]

Google actually released this video on YouTube and Google Video. Their very proud of the fact that they have a very extensive spam filter. As a gmail user I can tell you they do not filter all spam but I do think they do a better job than most of the other free web mail services. Gmail's filters are constantly improving. This is mainly because of their effectiveness is the use of community signals. Whenever you click on "mark as spam" your alerting Google to filter out any similar mail not only for you but for all it's users.
