Do-it-yourselfer Larry Horsley never has to pay for gas anymore. That's because he was able to convert a 95' Chevy S-10 he bought to electric powered vehicle for only $12,000. That's cheap considering most people spend about $2,000 a year or more on gas alone.

CNN discovered Larry Horsley in the Atlanta area and met some of his friends who had also built their own electric vehicles.
