A hacker named Shinnai has just release a proof of concept exploit that verifies a remote buffer overflow exploit in the VMware COM ActiveX API. This exploit allows a hacker to execute arbitrary code on your system. So far, it's been tested on Windows XP Professional SP3 all patched, with Internet Explorer 7. Has anyone tested this exploit on IE8 or WIN2K/Vista?
